Why FRP and GRP Outperform Concrete and Steel

FRP and GRP panel tanks are the modern standard for commercial and industrial water storage, for good reason.

For Commercial Laundry Operations

Why laundries choose FRP over concrete or steel

  • NSF-compliant PE liner resists bleach, detergent, and hot water: concrete leaches alkaline, steel tanks rust from chemical exposure
  • Modular panels: start at 100,000L, bolt on more capacity as your linen volume grows: no new tank required
  • Assembled on-site in 5–8 days (100 m³) with minimal disruption to operations: concrete takes weeks of casting and curing

All TankSmith tank systems use NSF-compliant, certified FRP or GRP materials from verified manufacturers.

Who We
Work With

Commercial Laundry
01
Primary Use Case

Commercial Laundry

When Manila water cuts off, your machines stop. A 100K–500K liter FRP reserve keeps your operation running non-stop.

Hospitality Operations
02
Hotels & Resorts

Hospitality Operations

Uninterrupted water for laundry rooms, guest floors, and F&B: even during supply interruptions.

High-rises & Developments
03
Commercial Buildings

High-rises & Developments

Rooftop and basement modular FRP storage for condominiums, offices, and mixed-use towers.

+ Food & Beverage, Industrial Plants, Construction, and more

From commercial laundry plants to high-rise developments, TankSmith supplies and installs FRP water tank systems for operations that cannot afford to stop.

01
Commercial Laundry
Commercial laundry runs on water. Processing 2,000 kg of hotel linen per day means consuming 40,000–52,000 liters every day. When Manila water cuts overnight, your FRP reserve keeps the washers running and your hotel deliveries on schedule.
02
Hotels & Resorts
Uninterrupted water supply for laundry rooms, guest amenities, and F&B operations. Large-capacity FRP tanks ensure your property never stops serving guests during supply interruptions.
03
Commercial Buildings
Rooftop and basement water storage for condominiums, office towers, and mixed-use developments. Modular FRP systems sized to occupancy demand and local building code.
04
Food & Beverage
NSF-compliant FRP tanks for food processing plants, commissaries, and beverage production. Food-safe liners, corrosion-resistant construction, sized to match production volume.
05
Industrial & Manufacturing
Process water, fire reserve, and coolant storage for manufacturing and light industrial facilities. FRP liners built to handle chemical exposure and continuous-operation demands.
06
Construction Projects
Temporary and permanent water storage for active construction sites. Fast mobilization, flexible FRP configurations that adapt to phased project timelines and changing volume needs.

Why TankSmith

Why Clients
Choose Us

From first assessment to final commissioning, TankSmith handles every phase of your water tank project with one dedicated team.

Led by Jhovenell Manait, TankSmith is the water tank systems vertical of JOHOB Hardware Trading, an industrial systems and equipment supplier operating since 2024. Every project is scoped, priced, and delivered by one accountable team.

One team end-to-end
Site assessment, material selection, supply, installation, and commissioning by the same crew. No finger-pointing between the tank guys and the pump guys.
Engineered, not catalogue
Every system is sized to the specific building load profile, water-supply pressure, and footprint. We do not quote tanks off a price list.
Original-spec panels for life
Replacement and expansion panels are available decades after installation. We do not change suppliers mid-product-line.
We stand behind our installations
If something is wrong after handover, we come back. That is what a warranty means to us.

100,000-Liter FRP Water Tank + Booster System for Sogo Laundry and Dry-Cleaning

A water-intensive laundry operation running on 15 minutes of backup storage needed two full production days of reserve, a BFP-compliant fire allocation, and an install that would not stop the wash floor. TankSmith delivered a WRAS-certified FRP panel tank with a partitioned 35,000-liter fire reserve and a 200 LPM booster system, commissioned in 18 working days with zero disruption to daily operations.

TankSmith supplies and installs modular bolted water tanks from 1,000 L to 500,000 L per system. Multiple systems can be combined for larger campus-scale storage. Sizing is driven by occupant count, throughput, and fire reserve requirements. We size the system during site assessment before quoting so the specification matches operational demand.

Four materials, chosen based on the water service and site conditions. FRP and GRP for potable water storage with WRAS-certified resin. HDG steel for fire reserve and non-potable industrial water. SS304 or SS316 stainless steel for aggressive process water, condensate, or hygienic applications where corrosion resistance is critical.

Yes. TankSmith installs across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. Our nearest install crew is dispatched based on your site location. Logistics, freight, and civil coordination are handled end-to-end by our project team. Freeport-compliant documentation is prepared for SBMA, Clark, and PEZA locator projects.

For a 20,000 L system, total time from order to commissioning is 5 to 14 days depending on site readiness. For 300,000+ L systems, expect 28 to 44 days. Lead time includes panel manufacturing, delivery to site, civil coordination, panel assembly, piping, and hydrostatic testing.

Our GRP/FRP panels are WRAS-certified for potable water contact up to 65C. Liners are NSF-compliant. Manufacturing is ISO 9001 certified. Stainless panels are grade-certified SS304 or SS316. All panels ship with material test certificates and factory inspection reports for buyer audit trail.

Yes. 5-year manufacturer warranty on the panels themselves. 20 to 25 year design life on the tank body. Individual panels are replaceable for the full service life without dismantling the tank. Booster pump systems carry a separate 12 to 24 month warranty depending on brand and duty cycle.

Yes. Our 1000mm by 1000mm modular panels fit through standard 800mm interior doorways. That means we can install or replace a rooftop or basement water tank inside an existing building without demolition. This is a key advantage for retrofits in condominiums, hospitals, and hotels where crane access is impossible.

Yes. We regularly deliver to Subic Bay Freeport, Clark Freeport, and PEZA-registered industrial estates. Freeport-compliant documentation including gate pass, delivery receipt with lot verification, and factory inspection reports are prepared for every SBMA and PEZA project.
