Why FRP and GRP Outperform Concrete and Steel

FRP and GRP panel tanks are the modern standard for commercial and industrial water storage, for good reason.

For Commercial Laundry Operations

Why laundries choose FRP over concrete or steel

  • NSF-compliant PE liner resists bleach, detergent, and hot water — concrete leaches alkaline, steel tanks rust from chemical exposure
  • Modular panels: start at 100,000L, bolt on more capacity as your linen volume grows — no new tank required
  • Assembled on-site in 2–3 days with minimal disruption to operations — concrete takes weeks of casting and curing

All TankSmith tank systems use NSF-compliant, certified FRP or GRP materials from verified manufacturers.

Who We
Work With

01
Primary Use Case

Commercial Laundry

When Manila water cuts off, your machines stop. A 100K–500K liter FRP reserve keeps your operation running non-stop.

02
Hotels & Resorts

Hospitality Operations

Uninterrupted water for laundry rooms, guest floors, and F&B — even during supply interruptions.

03
Commercial Buildings

High-rises & Developments

Rooftop and basement modular FRP storage for condominiums, offices, and mixed-use towers.

+ Food & Beverage, Industrial Plants, Construction, and more

From commercial laundry plants to high-rise developments, TankSmith supplies and installs FRP water tank systems for operations that cannot afford to stop.

01
Commercial Laundry
Commercial laundry runs on water. Processing 2,000 kg of hotel linen per day means consuming 40,000–52,000 liters every day. When Manila water cuts overnight, your FRP reserve keeps the washers running and your hotel deliveries on schedule.
02
Hotels & Resorts
Uninterrupted water supply for laundry rooms, guest amenities, and F&B operations. Large-capacity FRP tanks ensure your property never stops serving guests during supply interruptions.
03
Commercial Buildings
Rooftop and basement water storage for condominiums, office towers, and mixed-use developments. Modular FRP systems sized to occupancy demand and local building code.
04
Food & Beverage
NSF-compliant FRP tanks for food processing plants, commissaries, and beverage production. Food-safe liners, corrosion-resistant construction, sized to match production volume.
05
Industrial & Manufacturing
Process water, fire reserve, and coolant storage for manufacturing and light industrial facilities. FRP liners built to handle chemical exposure and continuous-operation demands.
06
Construction Projects
Temporary and permanent water storage for active construction sites. Fast mobilization, flexible FRP configurations that adapt to phased project timelines and changing volume needs.

Why TankSmith

Why Clients
Choose Us

From first assessment to final commissioning, TankSmith handles every phase of your water tank project with one dedicated team.

One team end-to-end
Site assessment, material selection, supply, installation, and commissioning by the same crew. No finger-pointing between the tank guys and the pump guys.
Engineered, not catalogue
Every system is sized to the specific building load profile, water-supply pressure, and footprint. We do not quote tanks off a price list.
Milestone-based pricing
Quotations follow a standard 40/30/20/10 payment schedule. Clients pay in step with the work — no capital exposure before materials are on-site.
Original-spec panels for life
Replacement and expansion panels are available decades after installation. We do not change suppliers mid-product-line.

FAQ

Common
Questions

Have a specific requirement? Send us an inquiry.

A typical 100 m³ FRP/GRP panel tank takes 5–8 days from delivery to commissioning. Larger tanks (200 m³+) take 10–14 days. HDG steel tanks of the same capacity are similar. The pressure booster pump system is installed in parallel and commissioned the day after the tank is filled.

Yes. Panels are sized to fit through standard 800 mm doorways. We install routinely in basements, mezzanines, and pump rooms. The only requirement is a level, load-rated pad and ceiling clearance equal to tank height plus 0.5 m for assembly.

Yes. Crews dispatch from Metro Manila and Cebu hubs. Visayas and Mindanao projects are quoted with travel and lodging included; we do not pass surprise charges later.

We base sizing on (1) the highest fixture count the building will ever see open simultaneously, (2) the static head from the tank to the highest fixture, and (3) the residual pressure the fixtures need at the meter. We size for 100% of peak demand, not 80%; if the engineer's calculation says 11 kW, we quote 11 kW.

5 years on FRP/GRP panels, 3 years on HDG steel panels, 1 year on pumps and electrical components (with original-manufacturer warranty pass-through where the OEM offers longer). All warranties cover supply and installation; a panel leak from improper assembly is on us, not on the manufacturer.
